Shot 100% on 16mm Film: Eden & Elijah’s Intimate Rancho Santa Fe Wedding
When Eden and Elijah first reached out to me at Ring Theory Films wanting their wedding highlight reel shot 100% on 16mm motion picture film, I was absolutely ecstatic! From our very first inquiry call, I could tell right away that these two were head-over-heels in love. They are truly the real deal. It is always such a dream working with couples who appreciate the raw, timeless aesthetic of Super 16mm film as much as I do.
Eden and Elijah’s vision was centered around capturing raw, authentic emotion through a documentary-style wedding film. They wanted to skip traditional slow-motion clips and forced voiceovers to keep everything natural, present, and true to how the day actually felt.
I had the absolute privilege of capturing their incredible two-day wedding
celebration in Southern California:
Day 1: Welcome Party at The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe
The weekend kicked off with an intimate, warm evening filled with welcome drinks, sweet treats from Sunday Ice Cream, and heartfelt toasts. It was the perfect relaxed setting for guests to mingle and set the tone for the festivities ahead.
Day 2: Private Estate Wedding in Rancho Santa Fe, CA
Hosted at the Posnick Family Home, Eden and Elijah designed a cozy 60-guest celebration with a warm, welcoming "family reunion" vibe.
Some of the standout highlights from their wedding day included:
A sweet, emotional first look before the ceremony
Live pedal steel guitar and music by A-Train as they walked down the aisle
Custom crafted ceramics by Sara Pilchman and artistic tapestries by Squash Makes
A poolside dessert spread accompanied by an artisanal coffee cart from Ripley Coffee Co.
A celebratory Limoncello shot toast with all 60 guests before opening up the dance floor!
Why Choose Super 16mm Film for Your Wedding?
Shooting on real analog motion picture film brings an unmatched richness, nostalgic grain, and depth that digital cameras simply cannot replicate.
