Capturing Hannah and Sam’s wedding at the breathtaking Van Dusen Mansion in Minneapolis, Minnesota, was an absolute dream. As a Los Angeles-based wedding filmmaker, I love traveling for destination weddings, and this celebration was the perfect opportunity to combine my love for Super 16mm and Super 8mm wedding filmmaking with storytelling that feels both cinematic and intimate.
I had the joy of capturing their day alongside my talented friend and photographer Anna Treimer from Wildly Connected Photography, with the wonderful Anna Dusaire serving as second shooter. Together, we worked to capture every moment, from the small, fleeting glances to the grand, picture-perfect celebrations.

A Unique Mixed Media Approach
This wedding was filmed using a combination of Super 8mm film and digital video, creating a mixed media style that highlights the warmth, texture, and grain of analog film alongside the clarity of modern digital cinematography. The result is a set of nostalgic wedding films that carry a timeless, vintage energy, perfect for couples who want something truly different from traditional wedding videography.
I love how Super 8mm wedding videography brings a romantic, nostalgic, and cinematic look to every frame, capturing the emotion, details, and personality of the day in a way that feels alive and authentic. Whether it is a close-up of a tearful vow, the first dance, or candid moments of guests laughing, Super 8mm adds a layer of warmth and depth that makes the story unforgettable.
